The Rush Creek Yacht Club Spring Beginning Sailing Program will begin on March 20th. Open to children ages 8-16. You do NOT have to be a member of RCYC to participate!
Class meets every Tuesday 4-6:00PM from March 20th to May 29th.
Rush Creek Yacht Club will provide the boats. Sailors must bring their own life jackets. They will also need closed toe shoes (tennis/boat shoes or crocks will work), a bathing suit, t-shirt, sunscreen, towel, hat, sunglasses, and water bottles. Personal items should be marked with the sailor’s name.
US Coast Guard approved life jackets must be worn while on the water and the docks. All students, regardless of age or number of years in the program, are required to take and pass a swim and life jacket test on the first day of class.
We want all of our beginning sailors to have an enjoyable and FUN Spring. Our primary purpose is to provide quality instruction. To do this and have the most fun in the process, discipline must be maintained. Juniors who cannot maintain the appropriate safe and respectful conduct will be subject to dismissal from the program.
Applications are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and must be 100% complete before a space will be reserved. This includes application, payment, and all signed release forms.
Cost: RCYC members $220, Non-member $275.
