May be chartered by Regular or Associate members of Rush Creek Yacht Club as defined in the Rush Creek Yacht Club By Laws.
CLUB BOAT FLEET MEMBERSHIP (600 CLUB): $600/year commitment, but may be paid out $55/month (for 12 months) on club bill allows unlimited use of boats (with specific rules noted below.)
Non 600 Club Fleet member charter fee is $50/day.
REGATTA CHARTER ADDITIONAL FEES:
Dallas Race Week - $250 for 6 nights
George Griffith - $100 (2 day regatta)
Aux Frostbite Regatta - $100 (2 day regatta)
All Memberships and Charters subject to CIF and sales tax.
2008 Club Boat Rules.
Skipper must be precertified by:
a) Completing sailing resume
b) Executing the RCYC Club Boat Charter Agreement
c) Pass certification exam to rig, sail, dock, and derig-stow by one of the authorized Club IC24 Committee members
d) Establishing a charter schedule access password
Charterer must sign up online prior to sailing (whether done in advance or day of sail). May use clubhouse computer for on-demand registration
AVAILABILITY.
All day or night every day in 4 hour block intervals.
May charter multiple segments
Charter only blocks you plan to use
RACING HAS PRIORITY OVER CRUISING. If boats are not used for racing (i.e., sitting at the dock), may be used for cruising.
Boats reserved during times of scheduled racing are assumed to be chartered for racing. Check RCYC Racing calendar for race dates.
First come, first served, but we encourage taking everyone who wants to go.
The Certified 600 Club Fleet member or chartering skipper must be on the boat.
No Club Boat shall be sailed in winds greater than 25MPH.
Any Precertified Skipper under 18yrs old must have a responsible adult (member) at RCYC when on the water outside of managed club activities (high school sailing practice, regattas, etc).
Responsibilities of charterer:
1) Sailing after sundown, must provide own running lights (red/green for bow and white to attach to rudder) and is responsible for TP&W ticket without lights.
2) Junior sailors 12 and under are required by Texas Parks & Wildlife to wear a life jacket or PFD. Please bring one that will fit your child.
Please report any damage or lost equipment to the office or the Bosun of the Month as identified on the club boat website. You are responsible for up to $500 in damages.
Reservation Procedure
Objectives
To define procedures that makes the reservation of club boats equitable to each member of the 600 Club.
To maximize the use of club boats during racing series
To define the process for chartering for Race Week and George Griffith
Procedures
Charterer must sign up online prior to sailing (whether done in advance or day of sail). May use clubhouse computer for on-demand registration
AVAILABILITY.
o All day or night every day in 4 block intervals.

Priority
o Racing reservations have priority on scheduled race days
o Can reserve a boat one week in advance under the 600 Club Fleet Membership program.
o If a boat is at the dock 30 minutes before race time, it can go out by the next person(s) on the waiting list.
Regatta Charter Details
Each Club boat can be reserved for a regatta by reserving and paying for the event. No reservation without payment will be held. Reservations and payments will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
Dallas Race Week - $250 for 6 nights

Breakdown and Maintenance Procedures
To define the proper channels of communication in the event of a breakdown or maintenance incident.
o Report all damage/issues to the Bosun of the Month as identified on the website
Membership Expiration and Renewal Procedures
Determine the persons responsible for managing the initial membership signup, renewal and/or termination and related billing and Registration page updates.
o Responsibility of Rear Commodore Club Boats and Fleet Captain
Financial Procedures
To define the process of signing up as a 600 Club member and authorizing billing
$600, plus sales tax and CIF charged to the next club bill
$55/month, plus sales tax and CIF charged to the next 12 club bills (includes $5 monthly handling fee)
For Current Yacht Club Members enrolling mid-season:
Any current club member who chooses to enroll in the 600 Club midseason will be responsible for the entire membership price of $600, plus sales tax and CIF charged to the next club bill.
If a current member joining mid-season desires to pay by $55/month installments, that member will be responsible for coming current on the membership year by calculating the number of months since April 1 times $55, plus sales tax and CIF charged to the next club bill. From this point forward, the current member is welcome to pay the remainder of the membership year in $55/month installments.
For New members to the Yacht Club enrolling mid-season.:
New members to the yacht club may join the 600 Club at a prorated amount for the remainder of the membership year or by paying $55/month for the remaining months in the 600 Club membership year. Any subsequent membership in the 600 Club would be for the entire membership year.
